大家说说对这句话的理解

在看一个《vibration_analysis_handbook》资料的时候，有一句话：Often, random motion in a machine is caused by severe looseness.
翻译过来因该是：通常设备中的随机振动是由严重的松动引起的。其中还配了一张时域图，从图上看类似的时域我经常看见，但是设备都很正常，而且频域中也没有异样。不知道大家对这句话怎么理解。

还有这句话：When two frequencies are present in a machine and a cause and effect relationship is not present, the high frequency will riding the low frequency and the FFT will yield spectral lines at frequency one and frequency two. If there is a cause and effect relationship and the two frequencies can mix together, the result is amplitude modulation. Without getting mathematical, amplitude modulation is a time varying amplitude. Amplitude modulation is caused when the equipment has some form of nonlinearity.（在22页，第一段） 这段话我有几个地方不是很明白（由彩色字体标出），想请大家解释一下，1。对于第一句话中的“cause and effect relationship”是什么意思？2。第二句话中的riding是什么意思，我的理解是“跨越”的意思，不知道对否3。蓝色字体的部分我都看不明白是什么意思请大家帮忙谢谢

cause and effect relationship：因果关系。同一台电机出现的两个频率不存在因果关系。
riding:个人理解为“反射叠加”。
Without getting mathematical, amplitude modulation is a time varying amplitude：在没有经过数学方法处理之前，调幅是随时间变化的幅度。

最后一个幅度改成幅值，可以按峰值周期性变化理解。

我的理解是："riding"就是叠加
“。。。。a cause and effect relationship is not present”两个频率出现在一台机械上，并非体现出因果关系

不赞同跨越的说法，应当是在什么之上，并且有分界点。计算晶格频谱的时候，你会发现二维的有两条线，有一个极限值焦点。既是是声学的最大频率，又是光学的最小频率。mix应该是指有交叉的。个人观点，刚准备做振动，如有不对之处，还请海涵。
